The solid arrows illustrate how the message moves through the
system, and the diamonds are what happens to the message.

The "message routing" diamond is where all the @cam, @lists,
managed mail domain, etc. handling is done. It can be complicated.

We can extend the SMTP-time address checks into fully-fledged
message scanning (after the dot), or do it later in the process
(after the 250) -- while it's in the queue, or during delivery.
